July 26, 2011, 1PM EST / OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: I, Teresa Croughen RN, Founder and President of Michigan Cleft Network, Inc. announce today, selection of Mr. Jonathan Turner as its first executive director. MiCleft is Michigan's first and foremost support organization of its kind; dedicated to enriching the lives of others and advocating for the families here within, and not the surgical teams that serve them. As our executive director, and core partner to myself, Jon will identify strategic issues and opportunities for MiCleft. He will implement such programs and be the force of their succession, as having authorized by the Board of Directors and myself. I am quite thrilled to have Jon working hard for us. I know he has the tenacity to get the job done, but, as the parent to a child born with facial differences, I know he has the passion to do it for all the right reasons. It would be difficult to imagine a better choice as our first executive holding a position of this magnitude, than Jon. I am excited about the future --- for you and yours, and for our network!
